An empirical study on empowerment of rural women through entrepreneurship

Abstract: The present study examines the empowerment of rural women through entrepreneurship and examines the concept of empowerment under social and economic dimensions. The study was conducted on rural self employed women of Kurnool district in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The sample size was 200. Descriptive research design was adopted utilizing both primary and secondary data. A statistical tool like chi-square test was applied to test the collected data. The implications of this findings and the importance of this study are discussed.
