A study on impact of asset risk on profitability of public sector commercial banks in India

Abstract: The present study analyses the impact of asset risk on profitability of public sector banks. The study shows that asset risk has significant impact on profitability of commercial banks. Asset risk causes a shrink in net profitability of commercial banks. Out of twelve public sector commercial banks, five banks have been selected on the basis of geographical location. The study period is 2005-06 to 2018-19.
