Abstract: Electronic waste (E-Waste) poses a significant environmental and health challenge globally due to the rapid growth of technology consumption and disposal. This paper provides an overview of e-waste, including its composition, sources, and impact on the environment and human health. E-waste contains various hazardous substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, and brominated flame retardants, which can contaminate soil, water, and air if not properly managed. Improper handling and disposal of e-waste lead to adverse effects on ecosystems and human health, including respiratory problems, neurological disorders, and reproductive issues. Effective management strategies, including legislation, recycling, and public awareness campaigns, are essential to mitigate the growing e-waste problem and promote sustainable practices.
