A study on financial performance of selected life insurance companies in Bihar

Abstract: The financial performance of the insurance companies is carefully studied in view of materializing risk mitigation and financial security for both individuals and companies. This paper seeks to review the implications that insurance has on the financial performance of the insurance companies and the broader economic benefits accruable from their extensive coverage. It analyzes financial metrics for profitability, solvency, and liquidity to explain how insurance companies can manage risks and then capitalize on premiums in ways that enable them to grow sustainably. It further makes an inquiry into the socio-economic benefits accruable from insurance in increasing investment and economic resilience and giving relief against financial losses caused by unpredictable events. The empirical data and theoretical frameworks will be synthesized in the proposed research to come up with an in-depth explanation of how insurance determines the financial outcomes both at micro and macro levels. In other words, it will indicate the role of insurance in modern economies as a very important instrument in risk management to ensure long-term welfare in terms of finances.
