Abstract: The analysis of risk and return is crucial in investment decisions across various domains. The Stock Exchange, a marketplace for trading securities like shares, mutual funds, and bonds, plays a vital role in India’s economic development. Recognizing the interlinkage between risk and returns is essential for optimizing investment returns. This study focuses on conducting a risk and returns analysis of IT companies' stocks listed on the Sensex index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) from 2020 to 2024. By comparing the performance of these two prominent exchanges over five years, this research aims to assist investors in making informed decisions based on their risk tolerance and return expectations, ultimately helping them evaluate and contrast the performance metrics of these exchanges.
