Characteristics and prevention of common injuries in golf

Abstract: Golf is considered a low-risk sport, but acute injuries and overuse injuries still occur. The unique characteristic of golf is its asymmetric force generation, which is a key factor determining the type of sports injuries that can happen. The most injured were ligament injuries, tendonitis, overuse fractures, nerve system injuries, and accidental injuries. The parts of the body most frequently injured in golfers include the lower back, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and knees. To prevent injuries, self-management in technical is necessary and injury prevention measures,. Futhermore, using golf protected-equipment, strengthent core muscle groups, warm-up and cool-down activities should be encouraged.
