Author(s): K Murugan and Lithik Priyan MS

Abstract: This research examines how the finance department at AVNL Company in Avadi, Chennai is affected by the implementation of Tally ERP software. Using a descriptive research design and a sample of 102 participants, the study employs structured questionnaires and statistical methods like frequency, percentage, t-test, and ANOVA to evaluate the software's efficacy. Important discoveries show that Tally ERP effectively automates regular duties, decreases mistakes, and offers immediate financial reporting, ultimately aiding in making well-informed decisions and planning strategically. Moreover, the software improves adherence to regulatory standards, especially in tax calculations and GST reporting, thus reducing penalties and promoting a strong governance structure. The research findings state that the finance department of AVVNL greatly benefits from the implementation of Tally ERP, leading to improved efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and strategic decision-making. Suggestions comprise continuous training initiatives, software customization and integration, improvement through feedback, and enhanced data security measures. This study provides important knowledge about the possible transformation impact of Tally ERP software in finance divisions, emphasizing its strategic benefits and difficulties in implementation.
