Soft leadership as an approach to reducing quiet quitting: An exploratory study of the perspectives of a sample of employees at the general directorate of education in Salah Al-Din Governorate

Abstract: The present study aims to identify the role of soft leadership in mitigating quiet quitting behaviors among employees at the General Directorate of Education in Salah AL-Din Governorate. The research raises a central question: What role does soft leadership play in reducing quiet quitting،? To achieve its objectives, the researcher adopted a descriptive-analytical methodology. The study explores the perspectives of a sample of employees from the General Directorate of Education. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire, with a sample size of 136 employees across various job levels, The research yielded a set of findings, the most notable of which is the existence of a statistically significant inverse correlation between soft leadership and quiet quitting, in addition to a significant negative impact of soft leadership on quiet quitting behaviors, In light of these findings, the study puts forward several recommendations, most notably the promotion and institutionalization of soft leadership practices within the General Directorate of Education in Salah al-Din Governorate, positioning it as a sustainable administrative approach and strategic tool due to its effectiveness in curbing quiet quitting and fostering greater employee engagement and cohesion within the organization.
