Abstract: The transformation of work dynamics in the Information Technology (IT) sector, particularly with the adoption of hybrid work models, has called for a shift in how employee performance is evaluated and managed. Traditionally, monetary incentives have dominated performance strategies; however, non-financial rewards are now proving to be equally, if not more, effective in motivating employees. This research examines the growing relevance of non-monetary rewards—such as appreciation, flexible work options, learning opportunities, and mental well-being initiatives—in enhancing performance within hybrid work environments. Relying on secondary data from academic journals, industry surveys, and company case studies, the study explores the influence of these rewards on productivity, engagement, innovation, and retention. The analysis reveals that non-financial incentives foster stronger commitment, increased job satisfaction, and improved adaptability, particularly in remote and flexible settings that rely on trust and autonomy. The paper also outlines key challenges in implementing these rewards consistently and offers targeted strategies for IT organizations to improve their performance management systems. As employee expectations continue to evolve in the post-COVID era, this study emphasizes the importance of integrating both financial and non-financial motivators to maintain a competitive and committed workforce.
