Abstract: Digital supply chain governance has emerged as a critical enabler of resilience, compliance, and trust in increasingly complex and globally distributed supply networks. As organizations operate across multiple jurisdictions with divergent regulatory requirements, fragmented data environments, and heightened exposure to operational, ethical, and geopolitical risks, traditional governance mechanisms have proven insufficient. This study examines how digital governance frameworks that integrate transparency, traceability, and risk management can strengthen oversight and control across global supply chains while ensuring regulatory and compliance alignment. From a broad perspective, the paper situates digital supply chain governance within the evolution of global trade, sustainability mandates, and regulatory enforcement, highlighting the growing demand for real-time visibility, auditable data, and end-to-end accountability. It then narrows its focus to the role of digital technologies such as distributed ledgers, advanced analytics, Internet of Things (IoT) platforms, and integrated risk intelligence systems in enabling transparent data flows, traceable material and information movement, and proactive risk identification across multi-tier networks. The analysis demonstrates how digitally enabled traceability supports compliance with trade regulations, environmental and social governance (ESG) standards, and product safety requirements, while transparency enhances stakeholder trust and reduces information asymmetry. Risk management capabilities embedded within digital governance architectures allow organizations to anticipate disruptions, monitor supplier vulnerabilities, and implement controls aligned with evolving compliance obligations. The study concludes that effective digital supply chain governance requires not only technology adoption but also harmonized data standards, cross-border collaboration, and clearly defined accountability structures. Integrating transparency, traceability, and risk management into a unified digital governance model enables organizations to achieve compliance assurance, operational resilience, and sustainable performance across global supply networks.
