Abstract: This study investigates the link between self-actualization, organizational commitment, and work satisfaction as a mediating factor among higher education academic leaders. Based on Maslow's hierarchy of requirements, the study seeks to determine how self-actualization promotes organizational commitment through work satisfaction. A descriptive-causal study methodology was adopted, with data collected from 419 academic leaders at various universities using a stratified random sampling procedure. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) indicated substantial correlations between the variables, with work satisfaction serving as a key mediator. These findings have implications for policy and program creation in higher education institutions, underlining the need of programs that promote self-actualization and work satisfaction in order to increase organizational commitment.
