Abstract: Self-Help Groups (SHGs) have emerged as a transformative force in Odisha, significantly contributing to women's empowerment and poverty reduction. These community-based organizations provide women with access to microfinance, skill development, and entrepreneurship opportunities, thereby enhancing their socio-economic status. Government initiatives such as Mission Shakti have played a crucial role in promoting SHGs, enabling women to become financially independent and active participants in decision-making processes. This article explores the impact of SHGs in Odisha, highlighting their role in financial inclusion, social empowerment, and poverty alleviation.
