Entrepreneur mindset amongst commerce students-challenges and opportunities

Author(s): Jueeli Shantaram Dalvi and Pritama Devi Tyagi

Abstract: This research study looks at the problems and chances that commerce student’s face when trying to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. It focuses on the internal and external factors that affect their entrepreneurial intentions. Using qualitative data from interviews and surveys, the study finds that students often deal with major challenges, such as not having enough mentorship, lacking practical experience, and facing insufficient support from institutions, which block their entrepreneurial goals. On the other hand, it points out available opportunities like better collaboration with industry experts and improved course offerings that could help build entrepreneurial skills. The results highlight how important a supportive academic environment is in shaping students' views on entrepreneurship, which in turn influences their desire to participate in entrepreneurial activities. These findings are important not just in academic settings but also for discussions about promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the healthcare industry, where commerce students can create value through new solutions to urgent problems. By showing how education and entrepreneurship connect, this study emphasizes the need for educational institutions to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills, allowing them to better handle challenges and take advantage of opportunities. The overall implications of this research support the idea of including entrepreneurial education in commerce programs, which could spark a new trend of entrepreneurial thought and practice that enhances the healthcare field with innovative business solutions.
