Barriers to digital transformation in SMEs: A case study of Afghanistan

Abstract: The paper proposes actionable strategies for organisational collaboration among government, private, and international organisations. These strategies aim to improve financial inclusivity for SMEs, enhance infrastructure, and streamline regulations. To sum up, this Analysis supports digital transformation in emerging markets, especially Afghanistan's SMEs, which is complicated to interpret. To inform policymakers and practitioners, reinforcing the importance of prioritising digital transformation as a catalyst for economic resilience and diversification in Afghanistan by identifying barriers and suggesting strategic actions.
