Investors' perception towards systematic investment plan schemes with reference to Madurai

Abstract: Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) has emerged as an alternative investment plan for the large numbers of investors are interested in high returns but less risk with investments made gradually in Mutual Funds and Stocks. The study titled “A Study on Investors' Perception towards Systematic Investment Plan Schemes with reference to Madurai" aims to evaluate the Awareness, Preferences, and Satisfaction Levels of Investors regarding SIP schemes. The Research specifically focused on two prominent schemes namely the HDFC Flexi Cap Fund from HDFC Bank and the ICICI Prudential Blue Chip Fund from ICICI Bank. The data was collected through a structured Google Form survey, with a sample size of 102 respondents from Madurai City. To analyses the data, the study employs statistical tools such as Correlation, One way ANOVA, Likert Scale, and Percentage Analysis. The findings of the research offered insights into the factors influences Investment Decisions, includes Risk Tolerance, Expected Returns, and Overall Satisfaction with SIP Performance. The study aimed to provide valuable information to Financial Institutions and Investors to better understand the growing significance of SIPs in wealth creation.
