Investment patterns of women: An empirical study in Hyderabad

Author(s): Kumaraswamy Mora

Abstract: The investment landscape has seen a significant shift in recent years, with women becoming increasingly active participants in financial markets. Historically, women have been more risk-averse and less involved in investment decisions compared to men, but this trend is changing due to greater financial independence, education, and awareness. This study examines the investment patterns of women, focusing on their preferences, risk tolerance, and factors influencing investment decisions. A sample of 200 women are going to analyse. The required data is aimed in Hyderabad with stratified random sample and using descriptive statistics and chi-square tests at a 5 percent significance level. The findings are heading to reveal that demographic factors, financial literacy, and income levels significantly impact on investment choices. The study contributes to understanding women’s financial behaviour and suggests policy implications for enhancing financial inclusion.
